Mark completed Parts I and II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax course in 2010. The CICA In-Depth Tax course is recognized as the most comprehensive tax training available in Canada. Mark is an associate whose practice is focused on business, tax, and trust law matters. Mark has assisted clients with various business and tax planning matters that include amalgamations, acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and trusts. Mark is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Lunenburg County Barristers’ Society, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Halifax Estate Planning Council and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Mark is board member for the non-profit organization, “Work for Widows” and volunteers his time as a Rotary Club member. Mark enjoys sailing, fly fishing and camping with his family. Mark was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science (Honours) at Acadia University in 1990, his M.B.A (Finance) at Dalhousie University in 1999 as well as his LL.B in 2003.
Mark was admitted to the Prince Edward Island Bar in 2004 and to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2006.
